The optional Potstill evacuation unit for the distillation of heavy hydrocarbon mixtures and residues according to ASTM D5236 achieves a maximum atmospheric equivalent temperature of 565 °C.
The Propak filled distillation column has an efficiency of 20 theoretical plates.
The unit is equipped with an automated 8-place fraction collector with graduated receivers of 500 ml volume.
The distillation process and the pressure in the system are controlled by a microprocessor box and specialist software.
